Important:
Per HP Guidelines:
DIMMs must be installed in pairs. At least one pair of DIMMs must be installed in slots 1A and 2A to operate the server.
DIMMs installed on the same memory bank must be identical.
DIMMs installed in different banks can be of different sizes. Each Cell board must have the same quantity of DIMMs.
DIMMs must be installed in decreasing capacity with the largest DIMMs installed in the banks furthest away from each processor.

Per HP, PC2-6400 (800MHz) memory modules are only supported on models configured with Opteron 8384, 8380, 8378, 8376 and 8400 series processors. When only PC2-6400 DIMMs modules are installed with a processor then the memory bus speeds for 4 or fewer, 6 or 8 DIMMs per processor will operate at PC2-6400, PC2-5300 and PC2-4200
respectively. All other processor and memory configurations will operate at PC2-5300 with 4 or fewer DIMMs and
PC2-4200 with 6 or more DIMMs.
