After the very successful RevoDrive 3 X2, OCZ has now launched a combination of two SSD and HDD technology. The RevoDrive Hybrid with a PCI-Express 2.0 X4 port combines performance with capacity.
For the good cooperation between the two technologies it also uses the unprecedented OCZ Superscale Controller, like we have seen before in the RevoDrive 3 X2. However, the real work is done by the Dataplex software from NVELO and is enabled by simply installing the drivers.
The RevoDrive Hybrid is not designed to set new peaks in benchmarks, but it can certainly compete with the fastest SSDs. Its main reason for existence though: performance and capacity in one package with a competitive price!
Considering all that the RevoDrive Hybrid has to offer we think that the Editors Pick award is fully justified.
