"The OCZ Vertex 2 SSD is a strong product. The Sandforce controller confirms that when compared to the Intel X25-M, it beats its opponent. The Sandforce controller shows it s true strength when dealing with the automatic compression of data. Also thanks to the features TRIM and Garbage collection the drive will regenerate after heavy use (even after use of the synthetic benchmarks). Even after stressing it, the performance even stays very good. With that said, we have found the fastest SSD drive ever tested by us in the Vertex 2. And we can strongly recommend it for high-end systems although [as always] this high performance does come at a considerable price."
