HP ProLiant DL585 G7 Memory Spec

Important:
Maximum 1TB configuration is achieved using four (4) 32GB quad-rank RDIMMs and eight (8) 16GB dual-rank RDIMMs in all four installed processors. Maximum 1.5TB configuration is achieved using forty-eight (48) 32GB LRDIMMs.

Quad-rank RDIMMs must be installed only in memory sockets 2, 5, 8 and 11 of each installed processor.

8GB single-rank and 16GB dual-rank RDIMM support requires Opteron 6200 series or later processors. Opteron 6100 series processors support quad-rank 16GB RDIMM.

Advanced ECC function is not available if x4 and x8 memory modules are mixed in memory channels (A and B), (C and D), or both, but standard ECC is still available. Advanced ECC is available if x4 and x8 memory modules are mixed in memory channels (A and C), (B and D), or both.

1600MHz memory is only supported in conjunction with Opteron 6200 series or later processors.

Installing two memory modules at a time per processor privides for addition performance, installing four at a time per processor provides for better performance, and installing equal amounts of memory for all processors provides for best performance.
