It is recommended to install UDIMMs in first and third banks, leaving second bank (sockets 2, 5, 8, and 11) open.; Depending on the memory configuration and processor model, the memory speed may run at 1600MHz, 1333MHz or 1066MHz. See latest ProLiant QuickSpecs for processor models and supported memory speeds. ; 4GB DDR3-1333 Reg ECC modules come in two versions: 313/4G using x4 and 3138/4G using x8 DRAM. The two parts may be installed in the same system but not within the same memory bank. Use like modules for dual and triple channel operation.
To choose RDIMM or ECC UDIMM depends on which CPU and memory type you have. Please check which CPU and memory you have before you buy the memory.
