First DIMM may be populated singularly, additional memory must be populated in pairs. Kingston offers memory upgrades in kits of two (DIMM pairs).

This chipset supports a maximum of 8 ranks. Kit part numbers consist of two single-rank or dual-rank modules. Only two dual-rank kits may be installed, leaving third bank (slots 5 and 6) open.

A 64-bit operating system is required to address more than 4GB of system memory.
