Expansion : 4 Sockets (2 Banks of 2) using Core i5 or i7 CPU with Unbuffered DIMMs 6 Sockets (3 Banks of 2) using Xeon 3400 CPU with Registered DIMMs

Comments : Always install DIMMs with the same CAS latency. For optimum compatibility, it is recommended that you obtain memory modules from the same vendor. DO NOT combine RDIMM and UDIMM. The motherboard support X8 DRAM only. To choose RDIMM or ECC UDIMM depends on which CPU and memory type you have. Please check which CPU and memory you have before you buy the memory.
