Intel Xeon E3 processors support ECC memory. All other desktop processors support only non-ECC memory.
The CPUs determine the speed at which the memory is clocked. If a 1066MHz capable CPU is used in the system, the maximum speed the memory will run at is 1066MHz regardless of the specific speed of the memory.
