The Indilinx Everest 2 controller is well-prepared for thinner NAND Flash. The error correction can fix 128 random bits per 1 KB of data, which is more than enough for chips of 20nm or even smaller. More importantly; the Everest 2 significantly decreases write amplification, while not relying on compression like its SF-based counter parts. Because of this both Vertex 4 models significantly outperform all the competitors in sequential writes. Even after prolonged attack by random access queries the access times remain fast.
Working with the blocks up to and including 4KB, the Vertex 4 models are much faster than Intels 520 series.
When the TRIM command is enabled, it also instantly restores the performance back to initial level.
