This is the hardest part. What we are looking at here is the latest and greatest in the technology world. But you really should ask, does it worth it? In order to base our final verdict we need to look at the areas of what HyperX has to offer to its users. HyperX has been completely redesigned and it uses SandForce second generation controller chip which makes it one of the fastest on the market. HyperX also offers up to 3000 program erase cycles which in users wouldn't necessary notice however they will experience constant performance out of this unit. Kingston also making 5k HyperX but this particular series is tightly oriented towards enterprise applications where failure/discrepancy is not an option. The difference between 3k and 5k HyperX is about 500 $ USD, so i wouldn't look in that direction unless you are looking for near line performance.

As we have mentioned in our review, HyperX 3k has been structured to be gammers best friend. While providing great performance and give you crazy fast access times HyperX has a lot to offer to a daily user or even developer. Pictures, Video and more could be used with HyperX 3k without any issues what's so ever. From price point perspective HyperX 3k is a budget friendly unit. The prices are bellow competitive prices and the HyperX 3k 240GB unit we have just reviewed could be purchased for 359 $ USD (Newegg.com). Does it seem pricey? I definitely think not. So bottom line is if you are looking for a performance SSD with great features and speed then HyperX 3k just might be a right choice for you! Buy it, you won't be disappointed!
