Moving over to Switzerland, tier 1 tech site ocaholic took the Vector to the test. And it made its impression… Targeted to compete with the best, ocaholic emphasized on what the Vector package is made of; performance, reliability and endurability.

Ocaholic's verdict:
"A closer look at the sequential thoughput rates reveals that this drive offers some serious performance. Regarding sequential reads we see a maximum value of 553 Megabytes per second. Concerning sequential writes the drive tops out at 531 Megabytes per seconds. When it comes to random IOPS we measured more then 95'500 IOPS for 4k random reads and about 85'500 IOPS for 4k random writes. According to the specs this drive should be able to deliver 550 Megabytes per second when doing sequential reads and 530 Megabytes per second when it comes to sequential writes. Therefore the OCZ Vector exceeds the performance promised by the manufacturer, which is always a pleasant surprise. Another thing, that is worth mentionin is the fact, that the sequentials are very stable and robust over all the tested block sizes."

Recommendation:
"If you're looking for one of the fastest SSDs out there, then you should definitely consider the OCZ Vector. The performance you get from this drive is on a highly competitive level. Furthermore you get this very high performance over all different block sizes and it also doesn't matter if data is compressible or not. But in the end there is more than just performance where an SSD should shine bright, there is also reliability and with the Vector you get five years of warranty, which no other manufacturer is outperforming these days."
