RevoDrive 3 X2 receives recommendation from Tecchannel

OCZ expands its line of RevoDrives with its latest model: the RevoDrive 3 X2. OCZ introduces this new member 3 with the promise of up to 1.5 GB / s and up to 230,000 IOPS. The bootable SSD, equipped with 480GB capacity is designed as a PCI-Express x4 card and comes with OCZs latest technological developments. Replacing the previously used RAID array, The new RevoDrive 3 features the proprietary VCA 2.0 that allows the use of native and tagged command queuing, TRIM support, and SMART monitoring, features that were previously unavailable.
Although the CPU limited our tests, the sequential read speed counted a staggering 1359 MB/s and is unrivalled by any other SSD we have ever tested.
However the RevoDrive 3 X2 was able to show its true potential in our enterprise benchmarks where que depth is higher than in the average test.
The RevoDrive 3 X2 holds currently holds the highest read speed. For daily use by an average user the OCZ Revodrive 3 provides so much excessive performance it could be considered an overkill of power. And given the fact that its true potential is only truly perceived in a demanding environment we recommend the RevoDrive 3 X2 for this professional.
